This specimen is a hydrated sodium and calcium aluminosilicate, belonging to the zeolite family. The green in the Heulandite is believed to come from either Celadonite ( a type of mica) or Saponite ( a green clay that can get stuck inside the mineral during formation becoming an inclusion.
Green is the second rarest color of Heulandite next to red which was only recently discovered in India. With the most common colors being orange, white, yellow or brown.
